Brian was elected to the Whangara B5 committee of management in 2001. He joined the NZ Police in 1999 and is currently working in the Tokomaru Bay area. As a teenager and prior to joining the Police, Brian worked the land at B5. He is actively involved within the community through a variety of sports both as a player and coach. Other commitments have included being a past trustee for the Paikea Whitireia Trust and currently a member of the Paikea Whalers Committee.
Brian is married to Toni, and they have 5 children and 1 grandchild.
