Richard Scholefield

General Manager

Richard has worked in the agriculture industry for a total of 18 years in New Zealand, USA and the United Kingdom. During this time, he has managed sheep and beef farms for 14 years and 7 of these were spent managing various maori incorporations. He was appointed to the role of General Manager of Whangara Farms in 2006.

A dedicated family man, Richard is married to Karen and also has three young children Hannah, Leah and Jacob. As well as his passion for farming, Richard enjoys playing rugby and he has represented Ngati Porou East Coast Rugby from 2007 to 2010.
